BUSINESS support agency Blue Orchid is organising a free, open coffee morning today between 10-11 am at the Chester Enterprise Centre.

The event is aimed at local small businesses or potential start-up businesses which would like to gain advice on funding and meet other local business owners.

A representative from Cheshire West and Chester Council Economic Development Team will be present to speak to business owners. Blue Orchid business advisers will also be available to offer advice to business owners, or potential business owners with an idea.

Blue Orchid managing director, Heather Hayes, said the event will enable small business owners and potential start-up businesses in Cheshire West and Chester to network in an informal setting.

“Cheshire West and Chester Council is offering grants to start-up businesses,” she said. “The open coffee morning will enable people to gain vital advice from the council on how to obtain the grants. We hope to build on the sharing of business information in the area, introduce new business owners and encourage those in the early stages of developing a business idea.”

Mrs Hayes said Blue Orchid hope to make the coffee morning a regular monthly event.

“We want to expand opportunities for small business owners working in and around the area to meet,” she said.
