PRE-SCHOOL children at the Leaps and Bounds nursery in Eccleston, Chester, are being given an early insight into business.
The children are running their own travel agency, Bon Voyage Travel, at the nursery. They have a travel desk, maps of the world, brochures, a telephone and a till.
Hayley Parry from Deva Travel, in Bridge Street, Chester, went along to give them tips on running a travel agency.
Hayley took some brochures, business cards and posters and chatted with the children about where in the world they would like to go on holiday.
Olivia Banks, age four, is the travel agency manager.
Hayley said: “It was lovely for me to get out of the office and chat to the little ones about their holidays.”
Sarah Ellis, who owns and runs Leaps and Bounds which runs at Eccleston Village Hall, said: “We always try to do something topical with the children. Their thirst for knowledge and doing new projects is incredible. With the holiday season coming up many of the children’s families are planning their holidays whether it be home or abroad. We were so grateful to Hayley for coming into school and showing them brochures of destinations both exotic and those closer to home.”
