A £650,000 luxury touring caravan park, conceived and developed by Cheshire businessman Tony Faulkner, alongside his Lady Heyes Craft and Antique Centre at Frodsham, is due to open next Šmonth.

ŠŠFrodsham Conservative MP Chris Evans will officially open the site at Ša ceremony that will be attended by local and regional business Šowners, caravan enthusiasts and representatives of the council and Marketing Cheshire.

ŠŠMr Faulkner, a Cheshire-born farmer turned entrepreneur, will tell his Šguests that the opening of the site marks the completion of a 15-year dream to develop a once traditional Cheshire farm into three thriving businesses.

ŠŠAfter buying the land in 1996, Mr Faulkner opened the Whitley Brook Crematorium to offer vets and animal lovers a caring cremation service Šand created the Lady Heyes Craft and Antique Centre. Both businesses have grown significantly in the intervening years.

Now the opening of the 85-caravan touring park on a seven-acre site, complete with ultra-modern office accommodation and a laundry and shower block with under-floor heating and with easy access to a nearby restaurant, completes Mr Faulkner's grand plan.

"I'm delighted with the end result," said Mr Faulkner, who is married Šwith two children. "The site commands wonderful views of the Cheshire countryside bordering the River Weaver and offers guests access to Delamere Forest, Chester and the Wirral.

Š"I believe Lady Heyes Park will offer tourists and visitors a stunning Švalue-for-money introduction to the delights of Cheshire. And by bringing visitors here we will be doing our bit to boost local businesses.

ŠŠ"I'm expecting the site to be extremely busy because expert forecasts suggest the challenging economic conditions will lead to many more people holidaying here in the UK this summer. Why spend a small Šfortune on flights overseas when tourists can experience the delights, history and countryside of beautiful Cheshire for a fraction of the Šcost?

ŠŠ"In fact, on the question of costs, I'm offering half price site fees Šfor the rest of this year, in recognition of the fact that many folk Šare experiencing tough times.Š I'm also offering caravan owners the opportunity to experience Lady Heyes Caravan Park absolutely freeŠ during the opening weekend from June 3 to June 5.

“I'm sure once they have experienced the facilities on site, the beautiful views that surround us and shopping treat that is our neighbour Lady Heyes Craft and Antique Centre, they will return year Šafter year."
