Traffic is easing after the A41 had been blocked by a crash near Chester .
Cheshire Police said the road became completely obstructed after the accident at about 6am on Thursday (July 7).
The accident occurred at the Whitchurch Road junction with Eggbridge Lane in Waverton .
Heavy congestion had built up through the village, but officers said the A41 was cleared by 7.30am before the morning rush hour.
There are currently temporary traffic lights in place less than a 100m away on the A41 at the junction with Saighton Lane due to telecoms work.
