Professional women are ditching databases and passing on pie-charts to develop fantastic figures, hearts and minds.

Frazzled career women are taking a break from their city slicker lifestyles this summer and heading for the hills.

That’s according to FitFarms, the leading provider of women-only sports science and weight-loss camps in the UK.

“Most of our clients are busy, stressed-out working women who have no time to look after their bodies or general wellbeing,” says Julie Brealy, health manager at FitFarms.

“They work long hours, often juggling a career with children, and health and fitness is the last thing on their minds. Some women spend their entire day sat behind a desk and the only thing mobile about them is their cell phones.

“As soon as guests arrive at our Peak District and Exmoor farms they can turn off their mobiles and get moving again. FitFarms is a great way to combine a break from everyday life with exercise, meet like-minded people and spend the week focusing on themselves for once.”

FitFarms combines adventurous and exciting weight-loss activities including hiking and cycling with alternative therapies such as Tai Chi and psychotherapy. Guests are also shown how to eat healthily with a range of workshops by former Daily Telegraph nutritionist Julia Fitzgerald, and meals cooked by French chef Mikael Perret.

“Guests tell us they go home fitter, lighter and glowing from their healthy week,” says Brealy. “FitFarms is not just about weight loss, it’s about long-term wellbeing.”

And as a special recession-busting deal, women can even cash in on their success.

“For every pound a guest loses, we’re offering them £15 cash back,” says Stephen Cole, MD of FitFarms.

“The record weight-loss currently stands at 19lb 7oz so that guest could have earned themselves nearly £300.”
