On an average day this summer, I’ll wake up around 7:30/8am and make myself a green juice in my holy grail Nutribullet (spinach, celery, apple and all that jazz). Whilst drinking said juice

I check through all my Cocoböxx (CBM) related social media, and reply to emails etc.

I then tackle the task of getting ready, one or two outfit changes, a few coats of mascara later and boom I’m good to go. For a standard photo shoot I’m usually out the door at around 9am, so straight in dad’s taxi it is and off to the location.

When I arrive on set I unpack my kit and let the make-up do the work. Make-up usually takes around 40 mins to an hour, on occasion I will also do the hair, then I’ll spend the rest of the shoot doing touch ups, taking photos for Instagram and generally helping on set.

After the shoot wraps three or four hours later, I will most likely be making my way either to a client to do some freelancing, or to pump some serious iron in the gym.

It’s now 6 or 7 o’clock, food time! I love going out with my friends for some grub, and as Cheshire gals we all undoubtably love sushi so that’s usually on the menu.

Home time! At this point in the day I retire to my bedroom/ office combo and begin the night’s work of research, writing, reading and resting. As I’m self-taught make up artist, I like to read blogs, articles and watch video tutorials to learn new tips and tricks.

At this point I plan and organise future ventures with my CBM Creatives. I’m currently working on a series called The Yar Girls in which I’m profiling the talents and ideas of young creative women through mediums such as photographs, film and literature.

After all this I more often than not and end up hitting the hay on, near or beside my laptop at about 2am.

Dress: I tend to dress comfortably but somewhat fashionably to work. It changes depending on the situation; for example if I’m working from home it’s 100% a pyjama top knot job. But if I’m carrying out some wedding make-up or meeting with new colleges on shoot, I tend to dress up more. Never the less I always have my trusty brush belt on!

What is the favourite part of your job? Experimenting and creating. I love editorial shoots as I usually have much more free rein on what I do with the make up. I also love meeting other young creatives like myself, and coming up with new concepts or future collaborations.

What is the least favourite part of your job? Washing my brushes and packing my kit. With over a hundred make up brushes, and what feels like a ton in weight of blushers, mascara and lipgloss, packing it all up and lugging it around is not always light work.

What would be your dream job if you weren’t doing what you do now? To travel around the world as a FX prosthetic make-up artist for films and television.

How do you relax when you are not working? If I have a day off which recently has become a rarity due to school work, make-up, my online profiles and university applications. I like to take advantage and have a lie in till, shall we say, midday? I am a teenager after all.

What is your favourite film? Ron Howard’s A Beautiful Mind

What is your favourite book? Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale

What is your favourite song? MØ - Walk This Way

If a film was made of your life, who would you like to play you? My friend suggested the lead singer from LMFAO, but anyone who stars alongside Ryan Gosling.

Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet? No, but I can’t help but get a little giddy when my work is featured anywhere online or simply commented on by a friend of a friend of a friend.
