The Saltney Tavern Family Fun Day was held on Saturday, August 1, to support of The British Heart Foundation and in memory of Suzanne Lloyd and Steve Guest.
There was a great turn out from the locals of Saltney and one visitor travelled from Liverpool to enter the fun dog show. Visitors enjoyed go karts which were a particularly big hit with the children as well as bouncy castles and donkey rides.
The fun dog show had lots of different breeds and a wide range of classes. The final was won by Alan Duncan with his Labrador Alfie, who gets to keep the trophy for 12 months.
The Minions put in a guest appearance, as did the British Heart Foundation mascot. Games went on throughout the day and night finishing with karaoke and a family fun quiz.
A spokesperson said: “The total amount raised was £822. Thanks go to all of the sponsors and local businesses who donated prizes and to all the stall holders for their support.”
