Staff and students from Ellesmere Port Catholic High School and staff from Our Lady’s Star of the Sea and St Mary of the Angels in Ellesmere Port visited Tanzania.

This was the second time the primary schools were represented in the past four years of visits from Ellesmere Port Catholic High School.

Formal links with junior schools in the same region as the Noonkodin Secondary School have been made.

The two schools concerned are Eluwai, on the same site as Noonkodin, and Orceswa, which is some 30km away.

The Ellesmere Port group made a significant impact on the primary schools and the experience was amazing for all concerned.

Earlier this month, Our Lady's and St Mary's each hosted a return visit to their schools for teachers Fredrick of Eluwai and Herman of Orceswa to see how our schools operate.

Through working together we are developing a global curriculum.

The visit of Fredrick and Herman has enabled all children in three schools to come into contact with people whose lifestyles are very different from their own and to appreciate the differences and the similarities between the challenges young people face in our different societies.
