Black Friday is now just a few hours away, with shoppers poised to splurge an eye-watering £4billion on discounted goods ahead of the festive rush.

Officially starting at midnight tonight (November 25) many major retailers have jumped the gun – with the likes of Currys PC World, Argos and Amazon already launching select deals early in a bid to beat out the competition.

High street shops including some in Chester will be opening their doors as early as 5am, with people keen not to miss the best deals even now paying others to queue for them.

The deals you don't want to miss

Gadgets, toys, clothes, TVs, video games and DVDs top the nation’s shopping list for the four-day festival that starts tomorrow and runs through the weekend to Cyber Monday (November 28).

But there's far more than that on offer – with Lidl discounting champagne, food, holiday companies giving discounts on flights and more, as well as deals on furniture, phones and even things like insurance.

Consoles & games

Xbox One and Call of Duty are both included in Tesco's Black Friday event

Xboxes, PS4s and more have seen heavy discounts.

Parents looking to get the jump ahead of Christmas might want to know that Nerf guns and accessories are currently half price at Tesco, while the Furby Connect is better than half price at Littlewoods.

Argos also has a huge toys sale offering up to 60% off top brands including Lego, Star Wars, and Paw Patrol.
