The nights are becoming darker and the air is turning colder, but the festive season truly begins when we spot the sparkle of the Coca-Cola truck.

The familiar sight of the huge red, glittering trucks making their way across dusty white hills on our TV screens is something we look forward to as winter approaches and we move closer to Christmas.

The iconic trucks first appeared in 1995 and have since become a worldwide feature of festive TV.

But these days, we can get even closer to the magic as the Coca-Cola trucks spread the Christmas spirit up and down the country on an annual tour.

Last year, crowds of people flocked to Chester city centre to have their picture taken with the big red truck when it spent the day on Eastgate Street.

But will the truck be visiting us again in Chester this Christmas?

The honest answer is we don’t know... yet.

But what we can tell you is that the tour dates will be revealed in the next couple of weeks.

A Coca-Cola spokesman told The Chronicle the UK tour dates are yet to be confirmed but will be announced at the 'beginning of November'.

So we'll soon have that date for our diaries!
