Favourite bars and restaurants including Nandos, Revolution and Missoula will also be offering shoppers free drinks tasters, competitions, games and giveaways, whilst Capital FM will be providing entertainment.

General manager Julie Webb added: “Students love a bargain so the night it is set to be a real hit. It’s also a great opportunity to show what Chester has to offer as a whole from the best shopping to fantastic nightlife. It can be daunting when you move to a new city so having the best of everything on show under one roof makes the transition a little easier.”

The Lock-In student event goes on from 6-8pm and entry is with a Freshers wristband or a valid NUS student card.
