Rumbles from motorbike engines echoed round Chester raising money for prostate cancer charities.

Smartly dressed in their finest attire, bikers saddled up for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) and toured the city on Sunday.

Beginning at organisers Bill Smith Motors on Tarvin Road, their route included Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, the city centre and finished at Chester Racecourse.

“In addition to being a fun event which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed, the DGR raises valuable funds to fight prostate cancer.”

The most common cancer in men in the UK, prostate cancer kills more than 10,500 every year.

Riders were encouraged to wear suits, tweed or black tie as well as sport their fantastic facial hair.

Sunday shoppers in the city centre were clearly intrigued by the spectacle.
