Fundraising activities are already under way this morning (Friday, November 13) with schools getting into the charitable spirit to raise money for Children in Need .
Horn’s Mill Primary School have tweeted us lots of photographs of their onesie day where all donations will be split between two charities - JDRF UK and Children in Need.
Imaginative pupils at Queen’s Lower School took on the role of their real life heroes to support Children in Need today.
Doctors, vets and suffragettes proved popular choices alongside comic book heroes Superwoman and Bat Girl. Some staff chose to honour the armed forces, with other members coming dressed as Mother Theresa and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
Year 4 pupil Holly Stuart looked closer to home for her inspiration by dressing as her real life hero, Headteacher Rachel Cookson.
In addition to donating money for a uniform free day, the pupils organised a cake sale and a guess the name of the teddy competition.
