If you are already suffering withdrawal symptoms following the end of the racing season, you can start booking your tickets for Chester Races 2017 from Monday, October 24.

Chester Racecourse has 15 scheduled meetings in 2017, from May to September; beginning with the three day Boodles May Festival on Wednesday, May 10.

The only change from the 2016 schedule is Chester’s July Friday evening has moved to a Saturday in September.

The newly christened Chester Stakes Day on Saturday, September 2 celebrates the historic Chester Stakes and to celebrate the naming of this fixture and the long standing affiliation between the racecourse and city of Chester, residents are being given the opportunity to come racing at a discounted rate.

Those residing in a CH1–CH4 postcode can purchase Chester Stakes Day tickets in the County Stand and Tattersalls Enclosure at half price. This offer is available for a limited time only, visit the website for more information.

As ever, Chester Racecourse will be working throughout the duration of the close season to deliver an improved offering from the moment gates open on May 10, 2017.

With works scheduled across a variety of race-goer touchpoints - from facilities, to gaming, to digital experience - the hope is to build on the existing high levels of engagement and enjoyment observed this year.

As ever, early commitment to purchase will be rewarded, with a number of discounted offers available on selected fixtures across a variety of enclosures.

The 2016 Boodles Ladies Day at Chester Racecourse

Half price tickets are available for the first day of the Boodles May Festival, Chester Cup Day and again at the ever popular Family Funday.

The latter two Friday fixtures of the season in June and September benefit from £10 off tickets for a limited time. All available offers aim to encourage new and returning racegoers, alongside families and everyone in between, to buy early.

Once again, Chester’s commitment to encourage a younger crowd extends to junior fans aged 17 and under (when accompanied by a responsible adult) with free entry to every raceday on the Roodee in 2017.

Chief executive Richard Thomas said: “We’re undergoing a number of improvements across the racecourse offering, including some new initiatives to ensure levels of expectation amongst racegoers are exceeded and experience maximised.

“We’re keen to take learnings from an enjoyable and successful 2016 and deliver a ‘season spectacular’ in 2017. As ever, we’d encourage racegoers to purchase early and benefit from the range of offers available. We look forward to welcoming a strong crowd at the start of May and across the remaining meetings.”
