Chester Performs is looking for aspiring performers and theatre makers from Cheshire and the surrounding area to join Grosvenor Park Young Company.

The programme works with young people based in the region to write and stage performances in Chester’s celebrated Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre.

Brand new for 2015 the programme will stage a series of performance pieces performed in the theatre and its surrounding area. In previous years the young persons’ company has showcased a one-off production.

Alex Clifton, artistic director with Chester Performs, said: “Grosvenor Park Young Company has been developed to inspire, nurture and challenge young performance makers. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in creating work for the stage and developing their skills in this fiercely competitive industry.”

The summer project will once again provide participants with the unique opportunity to work with industry leaders, including writing workshops lead by playwright Glyn Maxwell.

The company will need writers, actors, directors, composers, choreographers, stage managers and technicians.

Application deadlines are: June 7, writers, June 18 actors and June 26, creatives (producers, directors, designers, costume dept, stage management etc).
