An award-winning journalist will appear at a fund-raising gala dinner in March.

BBC Northwest Tonight’s chief reporter Dave Guest will host the annual mouth-watering feast in aid of the Neuromuscular Centre in Winsford.

The five-star gourmet dinner evening will take place on Saturday, March 4 at the Long Room of Chester Racecourse.

Guest has worked for the BBC since 1983 and, in 2014, he won the award for outstanding contribution at the BBC’s Ruby Awards for regional television.

Dinner will be served at 8pm and, between courses, Guest will entertain those in attendance with stories of his life and career.

Tickets are £59, which includes a four-course menu, half a bottle of wine per person and a cheese course.

The dress code is black tie.

After dinner, there will be an auction to raise funds for the Neuromuscular Centre.
