Comedy at its finest returns to South Cheshire next month with a new season of The Very Best in Stand Up.

The first show is at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday, September 7, and boasts some of the biggest names on the comedy circuit.

Compere and host for the evening will be a more familiar face than most to comedy fans in the area.

Martin ‘BigPig’ Mor is one of the most requested comedians around. He’s played in Nantwich before and will introduce three more top acts with a wealth of TV credits between them – all making their Nantwich debuts.

First up is Canadian comedy star Sean Collins. Now a headline act firmly established on the UK circuit, Sean has several television credits to his name, including The World Stands Up Special on Comedy Central, The Comedy Store Television Show on Paramount and the second series of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Next is rising star Rob Beckett, who is leading the pack of young British comics taking the circuit by storm.

Originally scheduled to play earlier in the year, Rob had to cancel but will be making his eagerly anticipated debut at this show.

With appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Russell Howard’s Good News and his own show currently in development, this is a real case of ‘remember you saw him here first’ as big things are expected for this exciting, young talent.

And the final act for the evening is the multi-award-winning  Adam Bloom, one of the UK’s most inventive comedians.

He has performed sell-out solo shows for seven years at the Edinburgh Festival as well as a sell-out tour of Britain.

He’s won several awards in the UK and is widely regarded as simply one of the best and most consistent comedians in the UK.

Promoter Jon Mitchell says: “We’re coming back with a bang as this bill features four very different and very brilliant acts.

“We’re absolutely stoked to have four acts of this level on the same line-up.”

Fellow promoter Mike Ramm added: “When Rob cancelled earlier this year and asked if he could play in September we knew this line-up would be something special.

“Comedy fans will be hard pressed to find a bill with this level of quality  anywhere, let alone for £10.”
