Students at Upton-by-Chester High School are deep in the spirit world during rehearsals for their annual school production.

Ghost the Musical, a technically and visually exciting interpretation of the tear-jerking film of the 90’s, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg, will be performed in February at the Chester school.

The score for the hit show was written by Dave Stewart, of the Eurythmics, and Glenn Ballard who wrote Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill album.

Sixth form student Joe Mears takes the lead role of Sam Wheat with Talia Davies playing his girlfriend Molly Jensen, Max Oliver is cast as villain Carl Bruner and the role of medium Oda Mae Brown played by Elenka Bennion.

The show runs from February 9 -11 at 7pm and tickets at £9 each can be booked on 01244 981240.

£1 of the ticket prices will be donated to this year’s nominated sixth form charity Lewys Dementia.

Every ticket purchased has a unique number which will be entered into a nightly draw, with the chance of winning £100 cash.
