Following the hugely successful production of A Christmas Carol at Chester Town Hall last year, Theatre in the Quarter is back with a magical and inventive production of The Snow Queen.
All the company's special ingredients - original music by Matt Baker, wonderful storytelling, digital media and a fusion of community and professional theatre performers - will combine to make another memorable and exciting Christmas feast.
This time, performances will take place at St Mary's Centre from December 5–January 11.
Musical director Matt Baker is now looking for a team of community performers of all ages to perform alongside the actors:
“This year we want to recruit 20 adults and 20 children/young people who will be split into two teams to form a chorus of singers, dancers and pre-show ‘winter circus’ performers,” he said.
The Snow Queen will be at St Mary’s Centre from December 5–January 11. A selection workshop for adults will be held on September 21 and there will be workshops for children and young people on September 18 and 25 – all the workshops will be in Chester. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
