You might not have had the chance to meet her when she was alive but a controversial new drama being performed in Chester this month will delve in to the life of the UK’s first woman Prime Minister.

Meet the Real Maggie Thatcher, an engaging and sometimes gritty insight into one of the most notorious political leaders of the 20th century, is coming to the Chester Music Theatre on Friday February 19.

This is one of the final opportunities to catch this ground breaking modern drama by Liverpool based touring company Gerundagula Productions.

Nominated for a number of accolades including Best Play in the 2014 UK Studio Theatre Awards, Meet the Real Maggie Thatcher provides a frank, powerful and engaging insight into the Iron Lady and her policies which divided a nation.

The play, written by award winning writer Mike Francis Carvalho, features a diversity of issues including the miners’ strike, poll tax, Clause 28 and the Falklands crisis.
