After two successful national tours and a year in the West End, the award-winning hit comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense arrives at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe from Monday, September 14–Wednesday, September 16.

Winner of Best New Comedy at the 2014 Olivier Awards, the charmingly incompetent Bertie Wooster and his unflappable valet Jeeves are brought to life in this highly acclaimed comedy by brothers Robert and David Goodale.

Lyceum marketing manager Gemma Whalley said: “Jeeves and Wooster are an iconic double act that comes to life in a raucously funny evening at the theatre. For anyone who enjoys witty comedy and classic Wodehouse bon mots, this is a show that is sure to tickle your fancy.”

Based on and adapted from the established literary works of PG Wodehouse, Perfect Nonsense has starred Stephen Mangan, Matthew Macfadyen, Robert Webb, John Gordon-Sinclair, Mark Heap and James Lance.

The new tour stars Matthew Carter (The Bill, The Princess of Wales) as Bertie Wooster, Joseph Chance (Wallander, Family Business) and Robert Goodale (Foyle’s War, Holby City, Doc Martin).

When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker and also to steal a silver cow creamer from Totleigh Towers. Naturally, the ever dependable Jeeves is there to prevent Bertie from making a fool of himself in front of a cast of Wodehouse’s finest characters.

Enjoy an evening of raucous comedy in the company of Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, Sir Watkin Bassett, Dahlia Travers, Roderick Spode and Constable Oates.

Tickets start from £23 and are on sale now via the box office or book online at www.crewelyceum.co.uk.
