Bouncing Back is based on the fast-paced world of netball, one of the fastest growing sports in the world, in the run up to the Netball World Cup coming to Liverpool in 2019.
Gail’s latest offering follows a group of mostly middle aged women who take up netball again, the trials and tribulations of their training sessions, group bonding, getting sponsorship, tough coaching, and the stress of organising ‘me’ time.
Will the team get fitter? Will they ever win a game? Will the coach ever find true love? And why do they all worship someone called Tracey?
Gail’s previous work Cheshire Cats received a 5* review at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 and it and Bothered and Bewildered played to sell out audiences at the Forum Studio Theatre in 2011 and 2014 respectively.
Both plays are published by Samuel French and are produced around the UK and worldwide.
Open auditions for Bouncing Back will be held at the Forum Studio Theatre in Chester on Sunday, February 14 2016, and performances will take place from June 29 to July 2 2016.
