Indie-pop band Scouting for Girls are set to headline Cheshire’s most prestigious international showjumping event next summer.

And music fans will even be able to camp on the Bolesworth estate in Tattenhall as they watch the Brit-nominated band, best known for their hits ‘She’s So Lovely’ and ‘I Wish I was James Bond’, at 2015’s event during the weekend of June 18-21.

At this year’s event, organisers saw their busiest turnout at Bolesworth for seven years , with more than 30,000 people flocking to the show, which was headlined by the boyband Blue.

Next year’s festivities will kick off with the popular Schools Day on Thursday June 18, while the Business Lunch returns the following day with a high profile speaker to be announced in the coming weeks.

And Bolesworth has gained even greater sporting kudos for 2015 by being awarded four star status, elevating it into the top five show jumping venues in the UK, alongside Hickstead, Windsor and Olympia.

Other features at Bolesworth next year include a performance from world champion jet skier Anthony Burgess, an elite horse auction and competition displays from horses and riders from all over the world including this year’s Redrow Grand Prix winner William Whitaker, who will all be competing for a share of the £230,000 prize fund.

Also returning will be the much-loved dog show and the Bolesworth Food, Fashion & Lifestyle Festival which includes celebrity chef demonstrations, baking competitions, home interior, workshops, fsahion shows and an extensive shopping village.

Equestrian enthusiasts and spectators including ex-footballer Michael Owen and wife Louise, are expected to be in attendance at some point during the weekend.
