Originating from the North Wales/Shropshire countryside, Portlights produce masterful alternative indie anthems, and are known for their love of big guitar sounds and bigger drums.

These four good friends combine vocals reminiscent of David Bowie and Black Francis of Pixies fame with the soulful instrumentation of early Radiohead and uplifting choruses taken from influences such as Arcade Fire, The Joy Formidable and Two Door Cinema Club.

They have supported artists such as The Rascals and performed at festivals such as BBC Big Weekend fringe, Os Fest and What Fest, with a Radio 1 interview and plays with Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, BBC Radio Live Sessions and plays and featured on BBC Wales.
