Music promoters are advising customers to allow extra time for their journey to Tatton Park Concerts by the Lake this week.

Cuffe and Taylor say the eastbound exit slip road at junction 7 of the M56 is expected to be closed for roadworks on the dates of the concerts, from July 28-30.

Fans heading to the events are advised to continue eastbound on the M56 to junction 6 and then turn around and return to junction 7 to use the westbound slip road.

Peter Taylor, director of concert promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We want to ensure that our customers don’t miss a moment of their Tatton Park Concerts by the Lake experience.

“Because of this we’re advising customers to give themselves a little extra time if they are travelling to Tatton Park using the M56 eastbound.

“The diversion route suggested should take around 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic so customers should plan this as part of their journey.

“We’re hugely excited to welcome Sir Tom Jones, Wet Wet Wet, the Hallé and of course our wonderful customers to Tatton for what promises to be three nights of concerts to remember.”

Sir Tom Jones will take to the stage on Thursday July 28. Chart toppers Wet Wet Wet will perform on Friday July 29 before the sensational Hallé take to the stage for a picnic proms on Saturday July 30.

Tickets for all three ‘Concerts by the Lake’ events can be bought via www.ticketline.co.uk or by calling 0844 888 9991.
