From playing the pubs and clubs of Omagh and Northern Ireland to the cream of the UK’s concert Halls and theatres, it’s been a stunning rise for Irish singer and entertainer Dominic Kirwan.

The County Tyrone native has been entertaining professionally since 1989. Dominic has been a constant on the stages of dance halls, clubs and theatres.

The rural county in Northern Ireland has produced some of the household names in the Irish music scene such as Brian Coll, Philomena Begley, Frankie McBride, Jimmy Kennedy, Paul Brady and bands such as The Plattermen, the Clipper Carlton and Melody Aces.

He took to the stage as a champion Irish dancer with the back drop of the famous West Tyrone Feis in the old Omagh Town Hall.

He then took his own band The Melody Boys on the road, winning a talent show that brought him to the attention of Mick Clerkin and Ritz records when he recorded the album The Green Fields of Ireland as part of his prize. Kirwan has since recorded well over a dozen albums, numerous singles, videos and DVDs.

Dominic Kirwan makes a welcome return to the Rhyl Pavilion on Friday (September 5). Call 01745 33 00 00 or visit www.rhylpavilion.co.uk .
