More than 70,000 revellers enjoyed Parklife 2015 at Heaton Park on the weekend.

Good weather meant the crowd could fully enjoy performances from the likes of Rudimental, Disclosure, Fatboy Slim, Mark Ronson, Wu-Tang Clan, Ben Howard, George Ezra and Grace Jones.

Police and festival organisers declared themselves pleased as this year's Parklife drew to a close.

The two-day event was preceded by a Courteeners concert on Friday night.

Arrests

Police said they made 55 arrests across the three days.

The majority of these were for possession of drugs, with intent to supply, after officers targeted suspected dealers.

The rest were held for alleged thefts, assaults and drink driving amongst other offences.

A 26 year-old woman remains in hospital being after drinking the legal high Poppers.

Four others have since been released from hospital after ingesting the drug.

Police said they had confiscated 400 bottles pending an investigation into the sale of them at stalls on site.

Success

Greater Manchester Police and organisers said overall they were happy with the event had gone.

Festival director Jon Drape said: "We are very pleased, especially given the scale of the festival.

"I think it shows the benefit of all agencies working together and that Manchester can host big events like this successfully."

Chief Inspector Gary Simpson said: "I am very pleased with the work my officers across Greater Manchester put in.

"Most of the arrests were for drugs offences and thanks to proactive police work."
