Northwich Folk Club is looking forward to welcoming guest performers Tom Browne and Ian Goodier to The Polish Club in London Road at 8.30pm on Friday, June 27.

Tom and Ian have been performing together on the local folk scene for some 15 years, and have always been popular at the Northwich Folk Club.

They are also known for their involvement over the years with a number of Cheshire ceilidh bands.

While Ian is Cheshire born and bred and lives in Runcorn, Tom hails originally from Newcastle on Tyne, his accent beautifully complementing his singing.

Ian plays concertina whilst Tom plays guitar. Their repertoire is drawn from a wide range of sources, from the 15th and 16th centuries to the present day and from traditional to contemporary styles.

Cuddington resident Fiona Holliman will provide the support act for the evening.

Fiona’s flute playing will be familiar to many from the various folk events she attends in England, Wales and beyond, and she hopes to be joined on the evening by husband Dave Ball and Dave’s talented daughter Sophie.

Tickets available on the door. For more information please call 01565 733197 or visit www.northwichfolk.co.uk.
