A £350,000 refurbishment at Rosies has seen the first floor transformed into a Pan-Asian theme

Bosses at Rosies say the new Asian fusion-themed room Dao will offer an ‘invigorating, all-encompassing addition’ to the Chester club scene, taking inspiration from the bright lights and electric nightlife of Las Vegas.

It will ‘ooze’ elegance’ with its plush surroundings and lavish Pan-Asian influenced decor and VIP booths, they promise.

The club’s Hashtag promoter Pez Tellett, who has arranged the Marvin Humes event with Peter Wilson, told The Chronicle: “They have taken the walls back to brickwork and are moving the back bar forward to install more VIP booths. The light box is being taken out to accommodate more booths and there will also be a booth on the stage which will be extended and more sound and lighting added.”

He added: “We’re very excited to bring Marvin back to Chester following his huge success on The Voice and his radio shows on Capital FM. He has also promised to play his new single as the artist Lovebug ‘Best is Yet to Come’, his first release as a solo artist.”

Alan Armstrong, head of marketing for Venues at Stonegate Pub Company, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening Dao to the public and excited for the big-name acts performing over our opening weekend.

“We hope the new-look venue will bring a bit of luxury to the city and can’t wait to find out what local residents think. ”
