Cuddington heart-throb Adam Rickitt will feature in the second series of ITV2’s nostalgic show The Big Reunion.
The former Coronation Street actor-turned-popstar is set to reunite with former teen chart pin-ups Kavana, Gareth Gates, Blazin’ Squad’s Kenzie and Dane Bowers as they form brand new all-male supergroup 5th Story in the programme which will air in the next few weeks.
Rickitt, who grew up in the Northwich area, first shot to fame playing Nick Tilsley in the ITV soap but left in 1999 to launch a music career.
But it proved to be short-lived after his debut album only reached number 41 in the charts.
In May 2006, a career in politics beckoned when he was chosen as one of 100 would-be-MPs for the Conservative party A-list.
Since then he has left the limelight to work as the RSPCA's capital appeals manager before leaving to head up cancer charity Help Harry Help Others.
On The Big Reunion, he is expected to speak candidly about his struggles with bulimia, following his confession that he used to make himself sick ‘20 times a day’.
The show’s first series, which saw Blue, 5ive, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X and 911 reunite and embark on a national arena tour, proved a huge hit with viewers.
As well as 5th Story, this year’s line-up includes A1, Damage, Girl Thing, Michael Jackson's nephews 3T, and chart-topping group Eternal.
