Eighties chart toppers T’Pau are coming to Frodsham.

Carol Decker and Ronnie Rodgers, famous for smash hits China in Your Hand, Heart and Soul and Valentine, will play the Forest Hills Hotel on April 10.

T’Pau’s debut album Bridge of Spies was certified platinum four times over, while their second release Rage also sold more than a million copies.

The Songs and Stories tour coincides with the release their fifth album, Pleasure and Pain, as well as the publication of Decker’s autobiography where she lifts the lid on the highs and lows of the band’s success.

“But we’ll also be telling them the stories behind the songs. It’s going to be an amazing tour.”

After going on hiatus in 1991, Decker reformed T’Pau in 1998 and was joined by Rodgers for an anniversary tour in 2013.

The flame-haired singer will tell stories from the book as she introduces the band’s biggest hits and be on hand to meet fans after the show.

Organiser Mark Rowland said the gig will also raise funds for Frodsham Summer Festival.

He added it was great to build on the success of Paul Young and Los Pacaminos playing at the town’s community centre last December.

Mark said: “Having T’Pau perform is a major coup for Frodsham and the live music scene that is developing.
