Absolute Bowie are Europe’s finest live David Bowie tribute band, performing all the great hits from the superstar’s back catalogue with uncanny accuracy.
Absolute Bowie were formed through a chance meeting and a mutual love of David Bowie’s music.
After first conceiving the idea of a Bowie tribute, the band needed to create a dynamic in order to accomplish their goal.
To create the authentic feel, they needed the right musicians and searched far and wide.
Choosing the material from Bowie’s back catalogue was difficult given that there are so many great songs in his vast repertoire which goes all the way back to the 60s.
The only unanimous choice to leave out of their sets was The Laughing Gnome - even though the man himself has had requests for the notorious song in the past!
The band is made up of Halloween Jack (vocals), Mick Ransom (guitar), Herby Flowers (bass), Rick Fakeman (keyboards) and Weedy Woodmansey (drums).
