The Lancashire Hotpots, sometimes referred to as the new Wurzels, are coming to Chester to perform at The Live Rooms on Saturday, April 11.

Chris Evans called them ‘the new Wurzels’ on Radio 2, Paddy McGuinness has called them “the Spinal Tap of folk bands” but their fans know them simply as Bernard, Bob, Kenny, Billy and Dickie.

Since first taking to the stage in 2007 with flat caps and ‘weskits’, The Hotpots have become the go-to band for those wanting a light hearted, distinctly Northern musical view on life.

The lads have entertained the nation with comedy songs about chippy teas, shopmobility scooters as well as how to smuggle your own sweets into the cinema.

Sets full of raucous comedy songs, congas, puppets and pirates have made them firm festival favourites and famous for good time, singalonga fun.
