2014 was a busy year for fans of Chester band Mansun, despite the group splitting over a decade ago.

In August, 500 fans from across the globe descended upon the Mansun Convention in Chester to celebrate their favourite band, and the event was such a huge success it was championed with a two-page feature in the NME.

One of the highlights of the event was a stand-out set from tribute band Taxloss Lovers. Taking their name from the 1997 hit Taxloss, the band aim to be as authentic as possible to the experience of seeing Mansun perform live.

The band will be returning to Chester’s Live Rooms on February 27 to embark on a new challenge to perform Mansun’s classic album Six in its entirety.

Fan favourites such as Cancer, Fall Out and Anti-Everything were never performed live by Mansun so this is a chance for every fan to hear them played by a band described as ‘amazingly accurate’ by Mansun frontman and songwriter Paul Draper.

With the chances of a Mansun reunion becoming slimmer and slimmer this is a rare chance to experience live versions of these amazing songs.

Support comes from The Telepathic Evils, featuring Easyworld bassist Jo T Jones and acclaimed stage actor Roger Rowley.

Tickets cost £8 advance and are available now from See Tickets at www.seetickets.com/event/taxloss-lovers/the-live-rooms/842934 .
