Bruce Springsteen And The E Street band have announced UK dates for The River Tour to stadiums across the country.

And although The Boss won't be coming to Cheshire, the tour kicks off at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on May 25 before continuing on to Glasgow's Hampden Park, Coventry’s Ricoh Arena and culminating at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 5.

The tour comes in the wake of the release of The Ties That Bind: The River via Columbia Records. The four disc offering celebrates the 35th anniversary of Springsteen’s 1980 double-disc classic, The River and includes the 22 outtakes from the original sessions, half of which had never been previously released.

Speaking on The River Tour in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Bruce Springsteen said: “We stand toe-to-toe with any version of our band that’s been out there. It’s a richer experience now because there is so much material to draw from.

"And that shared history you have with people makes the night very full, very beautiful.”

Bruce Springsteen is one of popular music’s most enduring and beloved icons. Tickets for these shows with The E Street Band will be hugely popular so make sure you get your tickets when they go on sale at 9am on Thursday, February 25 from www.livenation.co.uk
