The Hungry Horse Folk Nights, which take place at Whitby Sports and Social Club in Ellesmere Port, welcome Spiers and Boden for their last tour together as a duo on Friday, March 7.

The folk club draws folk music enthusiasts from the Merseyside, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Cheshire and North Wales area.

John Spiers and Jon Boden are founder members of the folk band Bellowhead.

This duo are leading lights on the traditional English folk music scene having appeared at many theatres, arts centres and festivals including Cambridge and Shrewsbury.

The tour will be their last as they have decided no longer to play as a duo.

This is so they can concentrate on their other projects and in particular their Bellowhead concerts.

Club organiser John Owen said: “We are delighted that John and Jon have once again chosen to perform for us at our folk club on this their final tour together. We wish them every success with their new Bellowhead ventures."

Tickets are £15. Book in advance on 0151 678 9902 or via www.wegottickets.com.
