Chester’s newest restaurant opened its doors for the first time with the official launch of the first Panda Mami world buffet restaurant in the UK.

The Chinese Consul Dali Sun and a number of VIPs performed the official opening ceremony, while 10 professional chefs prepared a host of tempting dishes, cooked in front of 200 invited guests.

Panda Mami’s owner Kaixiang Liu said: “We had a wonderful time at our opening event and we hope all our guests enjoyed themselves. We are delighted to have chosen Chester as the location for our flagship Panda Mami restaurant.”

The restaurant’s unique menu includes specialities from China, Thailand, Japan, India, USA, Italy and the UK. The owners plan to open 30 further restaurants nationwide over the next five years.

The 200 cover restaurant, arranged over two floors, is located on Newgate Street, within Chester’s fast growing dining district.
