One of the biggest big screen blockbusters of last summer is to get an open air performance in aid of a Cheshire charity.

The afternoon outdoor screening of The Lego Movie will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at the Neuromuscular Centre’s meadow in Winsford at 4.30pm.

The Lego Movie stars the vocal talents of Will Ferrell and Elizabeth Banks and is the story of an ordinary Lego construction worker, thought to be prophesied ‘special’, who is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the entire Lego universe into eternal stasis.

There will also be entertainment for children and stands to buy burgers, hotdogs, popcorn and ice cream before watching the movie. Come on down for 4.30pm so you can make the most of the activities on offer before the film starts at 5.30pm.

Adult tickets are £7, children £4 (under 16) and a family of four ticket is £20. For more information or to buy tickets for this event visit www.nmcentre.com or call the fundraising office on 01606 861733.

Please note there is no parking at the centre, only on road parking outside the gates so people are advised to use public transport or car share if possible.

You are welcome to bring your own picnics, chairs and rugs as there is no seating available, but please note alcohol is strictly prohibited. Barbecues are not allowed and only guide dogs are permitted.

In the event of poor weather, the open air cinema will not be cancelled as the screen is fully waterproof, but aspects may be modified for your comfort.

The Neuromuscular Centre provides a range of services for adults and young people with muscular dystrophy, a severe and debilitating muscle wasting condition.
