The unique Wirral village of Port Sunlight has announced a programme of family events for the summer.

Throughout August, visitors to the museum can choose from a variety of activities including three themed Sunday events, daily village walking tours, family fun craft activities, and an open-air theatre production.

The fun starts with a full day dedicated to the Fun Dog Show on August 3.

If you have a passion for retro fashion, Sunlight Vintage is the event for you on August 17.

Come and browse stalls filled with unique home war and clothing by Pillbox Vintage Fairs.

If it’s the kids who need entertaining, bring them along on August 10 to the Funday Sunday where children can enjoy traditional swing boats, donkey rides, activity games, face painting and much more.

Or if you’re at a loss on a Wednesday afternoon, then bring your children along to the Old School Room on Bridge Street to make a door hanger, personalise a bag, start a scrapbook or make a terrific train.

No pre-booking is required and the cost is just £1.50.

On August 13, The Dell in Port Sunlight village will be the stage for a production of The Taming of the Shrew by Folksy Theatre.

Come and enjoy one of Shakespeare’s best known works while enjoying a picnic with family and friends.
