The holidays are coming... but sadly the Coca-Cola truck WON'T be stopping anywhere in Cheshire this Christmas.

Dates for the big red truck's annual festive tour were released earlier today (November 4), and the list does not include Chester or Ellesmere Port .

The iconic trucks first appeared in 1995 and are now a festive staple, featuring in TV ads for Coca-Cola in the build-up to Christmas.

The trucks also tour the UK in the weeks before December 25, drawing big crowds. Last year, hundreds of people saw the truck when it visited Chester city centre, while in previous years it has also called at Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port and Broughton retail park.

But fans of the iconic lorry will have to travel a little further afield if they want to see it this year.

None of the 44 stops on this year's tour take place in Cheshire, but you can see it in Wrexham on Tuesday, November 29 or in Manchester on Thursday, December 1. The truck will also be at the Trafford Centre the next day (December 2) and in Liverpool on Sunday, December 4.

The latest 'Holidays are Coming' advert will be on TV later this month, along with a new ad – 'A Coke for Christmas' – which airs in December.
