Celebrity chef Brian Mellor will demonstrate his culinary skills before huge crowds as part of the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival.

Brian will be the star attraction of the festival Food Theatre where chefs from restaurants across the region will create their signature dishes.

To mark his involvement once again this year, Brian, an award-winning Master Chef of Great Britain is offering a day at his cookery school as prize in this exclusive Pioneer competition.

Harthill Cookery School offers a variety of courses for keen cooks and complete beginners to become more proficient in the kitchen.

Special days focus on different cooking techniques such as Spanish, Italian and Indian as well as bread-making and patisserie days.

Others focus on cooking with confidence and towards Christmas, how to make the perfect festive feast.

Over the festival weekend, September 5-7, Brian will unveil how to make classic British dishes with a modern twist in the town square seated theatre. Restaurants also taking part include Residence, Crewe Hall, Rookery Hall, Peckforton Castle and the Yew Tree at Bunbury.

New to the festival stage this year will be Chris Burt who has won rave reviews at Momo No Ki – a Japanese restaurant in Shrewsbury.

Brian said: “There will be an exceptional array of talent at this year’s festival.

All are great chefs with their own style of cooking and presentation. To see them all in one place, and free of charge, makes this a very special event. I’m delighted to be returning.”
