Nearly a thousand students turned out to Rosies nightclub to catch a glimpse of the Chuckle Brothers during their whistlestop visit to Chester.

The distinctive Rotherham duo Paul and Barry Elliott, best known for their children's TV show Chucklevision, partied with students until the small hours, having their photos taken with many and entertaining the crowds.

The brothers even performed their 'To Me, To You' song, in a nod to their trademark catchphrase.

Many students took to Twitter afterwards to express their excitement after getting a picture with the pair.

Earlier that night, Paul tweeted that he was 'just chilling' at Chester's Abode Hotel before heading down to Rosies. Later he said it had been an 'excellent night'.

A spokesperson for Getonit Events said: "We had crowds of around 1000 last night, which is a great amount for January. The boys were great and stayed until the very end."
