Comedy duo Stephen Foster and Phil Reid met at a charity show two years ago and instantly struck up a friendship after taking the mickey out of each other all night on stage.

After performing a few shows together they realised they had a great working relationship and decided to book a tour for 2013.

Phil Reid, who comes from Ellesmere Port, started out on the comedy circuit five years ago and has really made a mark.

He is a popular compere and hosts his own stand up company Carrot Top putting on shows around the country.

Phil has also won various competitions including Beat The Frog at Manchesters Frog and Bucket.

Stephen Foster’s life on the comedy circuit came to life four years ago.

Well known down south for his dead pan humour and near the knuckle gags, Stephen has had a lot of success.

You may recognise Stephen from Sky 1’s Don't Stop Me Now and John Bishop’s Only Joking.

He was also voted winner of Search For A Star Sussex by a panel of celebrity judges in 2011 and is an actor starring in various plays with film credits including 31 North 62 East and The Disturbed.

Their tour One Up, One Down comes to Ellesmere Port’s The Groves Sport and Social Club on Friday, October 25. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 10pm.

Tickets are £10 each and available to buy from the venue or from the box office on 0151 200 7391. The show is not suitable for anyone under the age of 15.
