A fundraising manager for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity was top of the fashion stakes at last Friday’s race evening at the Roodee.
Super chic Jade Barrett, of Chester, scooped the best dressed racegoer title at Friday’s Grosvenor Shopping Centre Ladies Evening and the £1000 prize of a pamper and shopping day at Debenhams. She looked fabulous in a cream and black perfectly coordinated ensemble by Reiss, topped off with a spectacular hat.
A prize draw for the gents to win a £500 bespoke shopping experience with Hugo Boss was won by Peter Brown from Chester.
The Saturday meet was a celebration of midsummer with the sell-out Stella Artois Midsummer meet.
Preparations are now underway at Chester Racecourse for another busy two days of racing next week, with the second Friday evening meeting, Ladies and Gents Evening on July 10 and the Corbettsports City Plate Day on Saturday, July 11. Gates open at 4pm on Friday and 11.30am on Saturday.
