The countdown has begun to the Chester Arts Fair which will feature a collection of iconic British artwork to view and buy.

Exhibiting at the fair will be The Art Hound London which represents some of the most highly regarded luminaries and artists of British 20th and 21st century art and has strong links to many of the top galleries and artists within the art world.

Artists included in this vast collection are:

The Grandfather of Pop Art Sir Peter Blake who defined the British Pop Art Movement and achieved iconic status when he co-created the sleeve of the legendary Beatles album, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Blake’s prints will range in price from £250 up to £2,000.

Eduardo Paolozzi (1924–2005), the original pop artist who rose to fame in the 1950s and became a seminal part of the Pop Art Movement.

Patrick Hughes, British artist who is inspired by optics and illusions, paradoxes and perspectives.

The Art Hound will also be exhibiting works by recent Turner Prize Winner Chris Offil and the ‘Japanese Andy Warhol’, Takashi Murakami.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Art Hound will also be bringing to the fair an excellent collection of more traditional pieces by classic Modernists such as legendary landscape painter and war artist Paul Nash and water-colourist, engraver and poet David Jones.

As well as The Art Hound, private collector MG Fine Arts will be exhibiting a £2 million collection of Lowry paintings.

Cheshire-based gallery Baron Fine Arts will be showcasing a range of signed Lowry Limited Edition prints ranging from a more modest budget of £1,800 up to £2,400.

To view these pieces and appreciate British art from the last century, come over to Chester Racecourse from November 22-23.
