The Phoenix Theatre Company, an amateur group based in Mold, are putting on a production of Arnold Ridley's The Ghost Train in the Emlyn Williams Theatre at Clwyd Theatr Cymru on Mold from June 19-21.
A favourite of the British stage for many years, The Ghost Train is a comedy thriller, written in the 1920s by Arnold Ridley, the actor and playwright, perhaps best known as Private Godfrey in Dad's Army.
It concerns a group of travellers stranded at a remote Cornish railway station on a stormy night.
They include two couples, a silly dandy and a severe spinster with a caged parrot.
The station master warns them of the ghostly train that haunts the station and their certain death if they should witness it.
