Fissiparous Theatre Company return to Clwyd Theatr Cymru in Mold with a new production of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde which will be performed in the Emlyn Williams Theatre on June 3 and 4.

This production will be an amateur premier, adapted by Nick Lane from the book by Robert Louis Stevenson.

FissiParous are a multi award-winning theatre company, whose past shows at Mold include Stones in His Pockets and Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, both of which received high acclaim.

FissiParous have recently returned from the Isle of Man Drama Festival where they received five awards for this production of Jekyll and Hyde, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director and the much coveted Audience Award for Best Play.

They recently appeared on television in the final eight competitors of a Sky Arts programme.

Nick Lane's adaptation of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic explores the relationship of a respectable London lawyer, Gabriel Utterson, who is compelled to uncover the strange connection between his old friend, the brilliant scientist, Dr Henry Jekyll and a brooding and dangerous stranger called Edward Hyde.

All who lay eyes on Hyde experience a strange and chilling fear and foreboding and his reputation is that of a vile and violent individual.

As Utterson investigates further,he uncovers a truly horrifying story of deception.
