Following their successful November production of Breaking the Code, Chester Theatre Club are bringing the riotous comedy Boeing Boeing to the stage from January 17-24.

Boeing-Boeing is a funny farce that follows the character Bernard who has a scheme for domestic bliss - by getting engaged to three airline stewardesses from three different airlines, he’s able to perfectly schedule his love life with his trusty copy of the airline timetables without any of his international fiancées learning that they share their soon-to-be marital home.

But with the arrival of a socially inept old school friend, the unveiling of a faster Boeing engine, and a storm brewing in the Atlantic, Bernard’s home life is due to hit some turbulence.

Director Andy Hutchings wanted to deal with something different having directed emotionally complex comedies.

Boeing-Boeing appealed to him as it is fast paced and focuses 100% of its effort on being as funny as possible without having two dimensional characters.

“Rehearsals are well under way and are going a lot smoother than expected,” said Andy. “There’s a period between casting a play and having that first rehearsal where anxiety is rife because there’s not much you can do except anticipate the problems you’re going to have.

“It is proving to be a really rewarding and fun process, all of our actors have found a really natural chemistry together that is going to lead to a great final product.”
