Chester Theatre Club’s first production of their new season in September is the classic comedy Private Lives by Noel Coward which is to be performed from September 19-26.

The club is now looking for actors to fill the following parts:

Sybil - pretty, romantic, very much in love with Elyot, but not very bright.

Elyot - he is suave, sophisticated, elegant and self-centred.

Amanda - she is elegant, sophisticated, at times fiery, and can stand up to Elyot.

Victor - he is a little older than Elyot, he can be pompous.

Louise - the French maid who has a very amusing role in Act 3. As she only speaks French, the actor needs a good French accent! If there are any native French speaking ladies out there the director would love to hear from you as this part can be any age.

The reading of the play will be on Tuesday, June 16 and the auditions on Thursday, June 18. All auditions are open.

If you’re interested in acting or in helping backstage, contact the director on penelopemorris26@gmail.com or by phone on 0151 336 8752 or 07970 256 776.
