Chester-born singer Heather Heighway will be making an appearance in her home area when Merseyside’s leading amateur opera company, Opera Viva, bring their production of Lehar’s operetta The Merry Widow to the Civic Centre in Neston on April 24.

Heather, who gained a first class honours degree at the Birmingham Conservatoire, has won many awards and prizes as well as being named Chester Young Musician of the Year.
